In the last couple of months we've been at the eID & ePassport Conference ( read more and our CEO has done a small Belgian road show presenting the iText Story at the BetaGroup Kortrijk , the Rotary Club Vilvoorde and the Business Angels Day in Antwerp. Last week, our CEO was one of the speakers at the Business Angels Day in Antwerp. The theme of the day was "Think Global, Invest Local": It goes without saying that a talk about iText was very much on topic: Bruno showed some of iText's customers in the government sector, both in the US and Belgium, explaining how we're working on a good relationship with integrators. We're building an eco-system where iText delivers PDF expertise to integrators, whereas integrators provide manpower to the government.

Last Monday and Tuesday, iText sponsored the eID & ePassport Conference in Berlin for some pictures of the event). I attended all the talks, and these are some of my impressions. As it was the first time I attended the conference, I didn't really know what to expect. Would this be an event promoting the eID, ePassports and smart cards in all their forms? Would this be a technical conference? Or would it be something else? On October 10, iText was proclaimed the 10th fastest growing technology company in the Benelux and the 3rd fastest growing company in Belgium.
