From February 22 to 25, the Mobile World Congress, which bills itself as "the world's largest exhibition for the mobile industry", took place in Barcelona, Spain. iText founder and CEO Bruno attended the event and shared an iText booth with Hancom as well as Hancom's new, European subsidiary ThinkFree. Over 100,000 people from 204 countries attended the event.

"This was our first opportunity to present ourselves in this way to the world," said Bruno. "It was pretty intense but interesting to see people recognizing me through the iText logo on my shirt. Some people spontaneously stepped up to say they are using iText in their products or applications. However, our main goal at the Mobile World Congress was to learn more about the market for Hancom products that we'd like to introduce in Europe and the United States under the ThinkFree umbrella." Bruno visited booths to talk about this topic. "Companies seemed to be eager to learn more about Hancom's Web Office as an alternative to MS Office365 or GoogleDocs."

What lies ahead? “I’m flying to Texas for SXSW on Thursday March 10. My goal for SXSW is to identify startups who want to add PDF or Office functionalities to their products and don’t want to reinvent the wheel. It’s important for them to know that iText and ThinkFree offer less expensive and serious alternatives for products and services currently offered by companies such as Microsoft, Adobe and Google.”
