Create or edit a Blog Post type content item (Event, Release Note, Blog Post).
You can create a new Blog Post type content item by following the steps below, or edit an existing one by only editing some of the fields.
- In the administrative menu, go to Content > Add content > Blog Post or find the content item you would like to edit as described in Finding Content.
- Fill in the form fields. See the table for fields and values below.
- Click Preview to check what your content item will look like on the site. Click Save to create your content item or save your changes.

Select the language of your content (English, German, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese-Brazil, French, Dutch). The content item will be displayed on the corresponding language version of the website. For more on language versions see Managing Translations
Blog Post Type
This is where you can specify what kind of content item you create. Enable the checkbox for General Blog , if you are writing a blog post, etc. The type will determine where the content item will be listed (e.g. among recent blog posts).
Domain access options
"Send to all affiliates" must always be selected. "Publish to" one must be selected - target audience for the site: customers (iText) OR developers (iText Developers).
This determines the order of events on listing pages or blocks. The higher priority comes before the lower priority.
A short summary (teaser) of your content that is displayed on listing pages.
The copy of your content. You can select plain text, filtered HTML, full HTML or the default Markdown as text format.

Browse and upload an image that you can then insert into the Body.
Tags connect related content. Start typing a tag, it will show options to choose from if a similar tag already exists. You can freely add any tags you see fit.

Blog Post type content items automatically appear on their designated pages, you don't have to put them in the menu.
URL path settings
The URL of the page. Generate automatic URL alias is enabled by default, usually there is no need to change it.
You can edit Page title, Description, Abstract, Keywords for SEO. Usually there is no need to change the default settings.
Change the author (Authored by) and publishing date (Authored on), if you are not editing your own content or would like to display a different date than the date of publication.
Add Moderation notes for reviewers and set the Moderation state of your content (Draft, Needs review or Published). To learn more about moderation states see Content Moderation and Approval.
