As reported last week on CNBC and in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and many more US media outlets, the US Senate passed a bill for the largest infusion of public spending into infrastructure in more than a decade, which will provide billions to state and local government for a variety of technology projects addressing broadband expansion, urban tech, charging infrastructure and more.
Consequently, such an awe-inspiring amount means a vast increase in government to private business transactions and vice-versa is about to take effect much sooner than one might expect. This enormous boost to the US economy means a huge amount of that $1.2 trillion influx will also naturally lead to the creation of masses of paperwork, which will need to be processed efficiently.
One can only hope for the sake of all parties involved that all this new paperwork will be processed by fully digitized and automated document workflows, or else it may prove impossible.
