iText minifigs
As you may or may not know, at events and exhibitions, iText is often accompanied by an army of Lego minifigs that carry our logo. Recently, we've also adopted three so-called "superfigs", oversized Lego figures, to serve as mascots in our three home bases (Ghent, Boston and Singapore). We let the public select their names from a shortlist, and voting ended on September 15. With all votes collected (thanks, voters!), their names are now known: Boston Boy (orange cap) is now named Ringo! Look around for him at US events or when you pay a visit to the Boston office! The jury...

JAXenter's Geertjan Wielinga sat down with iText founder and CSO Bruno Lowagie to talk PDF libraries, and more specifically iText 7 . Bruno is hyping iText 7 for its "new architecture that allows us to meet a lot of our other customer requests at the same time. For instance, EverNote is a customer that uses iText on Android, that reached the implementation limits of iText and so they’ll also benefit from the new architecture, which is more modular, enabling the user to select which parts they want to use. We cleaned up the API, in the past it wasn...

The European Business Awards announced their winners in each of the 33 participating countries for National Public Champions, and for Belgium, this was iText! We like to think of it a little like the Eurovision Song Contest but without the kitsch and the ludicrous hair, replaced with innovation and successful growth for European companies (but we do think our hair is looking pretty nice today). This honor gets iText, who defeated nine other Belgian companies, into the second round where it will run against the other National Public Champions for the European Public Champion title. “We owe...

We are looking to start 2016 off with a bang! By winning a European Business Award. iText has been selected for the shortlist of National Champions for Belgium. Among our competitors on the list, we’re one of the youngest and smallest companies, but by no means less-equipped to put up a fight! We were selected by the European Business Awards on account of our track record, continuous growth and the strong community support that we’ve helped nurture for our programmable PDF libraries. Our users have always formed the backbone of our success, so that is why we turn to you once more: a simple...
