The technical roadmap for 2012 consisted of 4 goals: Digital Signatures — Make iText ready for PAdES and PDF 2.0: done! XML Forms Architecture — Add support to flatten dynamic forms created by Adobe LiveCycle: done! I've just released iText 5.3.2 and XML Worker 1.1.6 . We've fixed some minor bugs in XML Worker, but the main reason for this release is iText's digital signature functionality. The day after tomorrow, we'll be releasing the draft of the first 90 pages of our white paper about digital signatures. During the writing process, we decided it would be a good idea to improve some interfaces, for instance 'Why use true / false for CAdES/CMS? I've been in the hospital with my son since Thursday. Before you ask: all is well with him. He had bone cancer in 2008, and he needed a prosthesis. As a result, he now needs a 'leg extension' on a regular basis. As long as his healthy leg grows, he'll need operations to make the other leg 'match'. The surgery went well. If it weren't for the fact that he has to get antibiotics intravenously until next Tuesday, he'd be allowed to go home. Of course: he'll be in a wheelchair for a while. As usual, you can find the changelogs on the itextpdf.com site, but let's also describe in words what has changed: iText 5.3.0 A short while ago, the Bouncy Castle Crypto API was upgraded from 1.46 to 1.47. This upgrade was a major one: we had to change all the iText code related to digital signatures.
