iText is proud to announce that it has made the Europe 5000, a list compiled by Inc., an American magazine devoted to fast-growing companies. We were listed on spot #1308.
The Inc. 5000 Europe list features companies that have grown from more than 90 percent all the way to nearly 12,000 percent over the past three years. To be eligible, companies must be privately held, for profit and independently-owned. In addition to its 1308th place for Europe, iText occupies the 5th spot for its home country, Belgium.
“Over the past three years, iText has indeed grown fast,” explains founder Bruno Lowagie, “We create a product that developers seem to like, and as the world is realizing more and more uses for PDF technology, demand is up. For example, today, organizations can use PDF files that enable digital signatures, or they use it to automate archiving processes. We help them do that.”
The Inc. Europe 5000 listing comes hot on the heels of Deloitte’s positioning of iText as second-fasted growing Belgian company in its annual Fast50 (Deloitte ranked iText as 143rd for the entire EMEA region). “Of course this recognition pleases us a lot, but I think what makes it extra sweet is that it’s all grounded in hard numbers.”
