Last week, iText was present for an NDC event - a Software Developers Conference - in Oslo. It was a great success with over 2,000 attendees over the 3 days. A number of the attendees stopped by the iText stand to discuss their Document Strategies and how we could support them.
As well as the great conversations we had, we also ran a competition where participants could have their photo taken with us in the booth and put it on the “iText wall of fame” and the iText Twitter page. Each day we raffled off a fun prize to one lucky winner.
Having been to many developer/software conferences in the past what made the NDC event stand out was the enjoyable atmosphere that they have created for all attendees, both sponsors and developers. Taking place in the Oslo Spectrum (well known for its concerts and performances) the sponsorship floor was right in the middle of the action with many companies setting up interactive games and competitions (there was even a rock climbing wall!). Presenations took place around the edge in the stadium seating with discussion topics ranging from the highly technical to the more fun and motivational. fun suprise was a live rock show on the central stage on Thursday night. The concert gave all participants a chance to relax, share a beer and chat on a more informal basis. We had a blast.
We are looking forward to following up with some great new connections we have made and to supporting the growth of NDC in the future.
