Spring is here, and so is a new quarterly release of the iText PDF SDK. For this release of the open-source iText Core PDF library and the add-ons in the iText Suite, we’re proud to announce the release of iText Core version 8.0.0 – aka iText 8.

In this latest release, Core will open documents faster and be more resilient to malformed PDFs. We’ve also widened its support of CCITT-compressed TIFFs, and improved the paragraph text wrapping. There’s also support for the CSS vertical-align property in pdfHTML, and improvements and bugfixes across the rest of the Suite.
Following our mainline release of iText 7 Suite 7.2.4 at the end of October, this is a maintenance release for our 7.1.x users. Included are some CVE fixes and backports from 7.2.x, and updated versions of pdfSweep and pdfXFA.
