Tony Van den Zegel

Chief Revenue Officer

As Chief Revenue Officer, Tony Van den Zegel is responsible for all revenue generating departments at iText, including the Global Sales, Customer Success and Marketing teams.  

With more than twenty years of experience in general management, business development and sales, Tony started his career at LMS, market leader for test and mechatronic solutions (since acquired by Siemens). For this company, Tony left his home country of Belgium in 2005 to set up and develop the operations for LMS in India. 

For the next twelve years, Tony stayed in Asia to run the local business for LMS and other companies. In 2012, Tony became the Managing Director for Imec India. Imec is the international research & development and innovation hub, active in the fields of nanoelectronics and digital technologies. 

Three years later, he joined iText to grow the Asia-Pacific division from the Singapore office. Under his leadership, iText grew its APAC business from almost 0% to 10% of the total group revenue. In 2018, Tony returned to Belgium to lead the Belgian headquarters of iText. 

By 2019, Tony was also VP of Growth Strategy. As VP of Growth Strategy, Tony was in charge of providing growth engines for iText in order to sustain their rapid growth. He and his team were therefore focused on serving as a business incubator for new products, and developing strategic partnerships with other technology companies. 

In January 2020, Tony became VP of Marketing and Products, and saw his responsibilities expanding to encompass all product and marketing strategies. 

Tony holds a master’s degree in mechatronics engineering from K.U. Leuven, Belgium. Tony is married and has three children.
