Oracle Code LA Speaker
Join us Tuesday 27th February at 4:05 PM, at Oracle Code LA to hear Joris Schellekens' talk "Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology for Documents". What can you expect? In this talk, Joris will explain Blockchain, which is a type of Distributed Ledger Technology, where records are organized in blocks and appended to a single chain using cryptography and distributed consensus. Each block contains a time stamp and a link to the previous block, ensuring that data in a block can't be altered retroactively. This makes blockchain a good choice for the recording of events,...

It explores some wonderful APIs that handle images and face detection, and introduces (briefly) some of the concepts of image handling. The emphasis of the talk is on exploring libraries...

JavaOne 2017
We had a great trip to JavaOne. We upgraded our space this year, to our biggest booth yet (10x20) and brought in a photobooth. It was fun to meet people and watch the great pictures they took- you can see them all on our facebook page . This was the first year that Oracle World and JavaOne exhibit halls were co-located, and we were really nervous about it. But it worked out better than expected, the traffic was a mix of our usual developer crowd and some business users which was a welcome surprise. We hope you had fun at...
